Itinerary

Upon arrival in the Masai Mara from Nairobi, you will settle into the eco-friendly comfort of Miti Mingi Eco Camp. After a warm welcome and lunch, embark on your first thrilling afternoon game drive, where you’ll encounter the iconic wildlife of the Mara. See lions lounging under acacia trees, herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, and zebras roaming the vast savannah. Return to camp as the sun sets for a delicious, locally sourced dinner and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of the African night.
On the second day, wake up early for a breathtaking sunrise game drive, the perfect time to witness predators on the hunt and the Mara’s abundant morning activity. After a hearty lunch and some relaxing downtime at camp, immerse yourself in the vibrant culture of the Maasai people with a visit to a nearby village. Here, you’ll experience traditional dances, crafts, and stories, gaining insight into the rich heritage of this proud community. Return to camp for dinner.
After an early breakfast at Miti Mingi Eco Camp in the Masai Mara, depart for Nakuru. The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with optional stopovers at viewpoints or Lake Naivasha for a quick break or a boat ride. Arrive in Nakuru between 1:00 and 2:00 PM and check in at Buraha Zenoni Nakuru, a budget-friendly hotel in the city center. After freshening up, you may relax at the hotel or take an optional afternoon visit to Lake Nakuru National Park for a short game drive, where you might spot flamingos, rhinos, zebras, and other wildlife. If you prefer to stay in town, explore the local markets, grab a snack at a nearby café, or take a leisurely walk around the city. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel in Nakuru, depart early for Amboseli National Park, with an estimated drive time of 7 to 8 hours. The journey takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing towns like Naivasha, Nairobi, and Emali. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel from the cool highlands to the dusty plains of southern Kenya. You’ll arrive at Nyati Safari Camp, a cozy, budget-friendly camp located just outside Amboseli, in time for a late lunch, which will be provided upon arrival. After checking in and enjoying your meal, take some time to relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings of the camp, which offers great views and a close-to-nature feel. If time and park hours allow, you may head out for a short evening game drive in Amboseli, where you’ll likely encounter elephants, antelopes, and perhaps even big cats, all with Mount Kilimanjaro looming in the background. Return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay, ready for a full day of safari ahead.
After an early breakfast at Nyati Safari Camp, embark on a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive takes you through varied landscapes - open plains, acacia woodlands, and swampy areas - each offering unique wildlife sightings. Look out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, hyenas, and over 400 bird species. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot inside the park, allowing you to relax and eat while surrounded by nature. The afternoon drive offers more chances to spot predators and observe wildlife behavior as temperatures change. Don’t miss the breathtaking sight of animals silhouetted against Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak. Return to Nyati Safari Camp in the evening for dinner and a relaxing night under the stars, reflecting on an unforgettable day in one of Africa’s most iconic parks.
On the final day, wake up early at Nyati Safari Camp and enjoy a hearty breakfast as the sun rises over the Amboseli plains. After packing your belongings, begin the journey back to Nairobi, which takes about 5 to 6 hours. The drive passes through small towns like Emali, Makindu, and Athi River, offering changing views from open savannahs to busy urban areas. Along the way, you can stop for refreshments or to stretch your legs. As you approach Nairobi, you’ll see the bustling cityscape, signaling the end of your incredible safari adventure. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel, the airport, or your preferred location, concluding a memorable journey through Kenya’s wild heart - from the Masai Mara to Nakuru, and finally Amboseli beneath Mount Kilimanjaro’s majestic peak.
